Buying presents for kids parties

When you have kids, especially more than one, you soon find that they’re shooting off to a friend’s party virtually every other week. When this happens, how many of you have had to call at the shops on the way to the party to buy the first thing that you see? We bet that nearly every parent out there has done this at one point or another. However, buying kids toys needn’t be such a problem if you get yourself organised.

Buying kids toys in bulk

No, we’re not talking about buying huge shipments of kids toys, we mean buying a few in advance so that you don’t get caught out by an unexpected or forgotten party. It’s always nice to have a variety of kids toys at home that you can give away to both boys and girls. We don’t expect you to make massive savings as far as money is concerned by doing this, except perhaps in shipping fees if you’re buying kids toys online, but we do think you’ll make a massive saving on your time and stress levels when you don’t have to worry about something unforeseen happening.

It’s not always necessary to buy a load of toys initially, you could always buy a few every now and then, or each time you go shopping and gradually build a collection of them. It’s also a good idea to get packets of sweets and things like that too.

Be prepared

  • ·         Get yourself a cupboard somewhere in the house where you can store the kids toys you’ve bought. Remember that you don’t have to buy loads of kids toys from the start, just build up a collection over time.
  • ·         Get wrapping paper, labels, scissors and sticky tape in the same cupboard. This means that whenever one of those parties pops up to take you buy surprise you can simply open the cupboard and everything you need will be there ready for you.
  • ·         Although it’s nice to get presents that are specific to boys and girls, it might also be a good idea to get kids toys that are pretty unisex so that when you only have a few left in your cupboard it won’t matter what gender the child is who needs the present.

Your own parties

Of course if you’re own child is having a party, you’re also going to need party games with giveaway prizes. These can also be bought in bulk and stored up as and when you see things that might be appropriate. The idea is to always have your eyes open for a good deal on kids toys. When you find something, no matter how small it may be, that you consider to be a bargain, you should buy it and put it away in the cupboard until the day arrives that you need it.

Overall

When you have kids, being prepared is essential and makes life much easier. Whether it’s in the run up to Christmas or a birthday, or just to stock up on stocking fillers or party gifts, you need to keep your eyes open all year around because you never know when the good offers will be there.
